THE WALL

UE5 Animated Series

Overview

This is a passion project of mine that grew into a dark, atmospheric mini-series set in the Arctic. Currently in active development, the plot follows two polar researchers waiting for their shift relief at an Arctic station, expecting a ship to take them home.

They spot a vessel on the horizon, but for three days it has stood completely motionless, trapped in the ice. With communication cut off, supplies running low, and one of the researchers rapidly falling ill, they are forced to confront the growing panic, isolation, and the dark secrets hidden within the freezing void beyond visibility.

All of this might sound like a worn-out cliché, but it actually breaks away from predictable tropes right in the first episode. I hope to share more of it soon!

I originally set out to make a fake trailer for this kind of mini-film, but I quickly realized that the idea I came up with deserves to be realized not just as a one-off short video, but as a full story.

I built the exterior in Unreal Engine, using Arctic station assets provided by my friends from Forma3d.

I handled the layout and lighting setup, and while the exterior is currently taking shape and looking like this, I've already started working on the interiors.

Early development of some rooms built in Unreal Engine, combining my own custom models created in Blender with acquired assets.
